It’s been a while since I last blogged, but I’m finally getting around to it.
Some updates: I just received an email the other day about details concerning our training camp which made me realize it’s only about 3 months away & that I’ll need to get a few things before then! Lately, I’ve been so focused on getting my bathroom remodeled that I haven’t gotten any more gear that I need. But I‘m excited to share that I’ve almost reached the first financial goal before September 24th! I’m only $990 shy of $5,000! The Lord’s provision has been amazing! Just last week my dad was talking with a neighbor & through conversation he then handed my dad money for me to put towards this mission trip! God is so faithful to provide. Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
Now to talk about my Friday’s & why I call them my nitty-gritty Friday‘s.
This summer I’ve taken off a couple days each week from work so I can focus on homesteading & things that need to be done in order to get ready to be gone for a year, but Friday’s are the day I try to get the not so fun things done or try to tackle some of the big things that take lots of time. Friday’s are for; setting aside time for World Race things (which sometimes takes all that I’ve got to sit still for such a long period of time), writing thank you cards, (needing to practice for my presentation call), blogging, working on the bathroom even though I’m not totally sure what I’m doing, going into town to look for things needed & leaving not having found anything. Friday’s are for; mowing the lawn, checking/watering the garden, & all the in between. It‘s a day where I typically feel as if not much was accomplished, seeing how many things I didn’t get done & as if I wasted the day away. Friday’s are hard, but good. I accomplish more than I think & just continue taking steps forward. I still have lots to do to get ready before leaving & don’t have all the answers for how everything will work while I’m gone, but I keep taking it one step at a time & am trusting that God will provide for all my needs along the way.
Thank you to everyone whose already been a part of this journey with me! I’m excited & nervous & all the emotions in between. I look forward to be used by God even more so than He’s already doing & for the amount of growth that’s to be experienced.
