It’s so easy for me to get in a mindset of checklists. I typically have checklists I make every week of things that need to be done. However, fundraising is so much more than something that should be on my to do list to check off. There’s a 7 day devotional we’re encouraged to go through specifically about support raising. I’m learning more about this part of mission work & praying God helps me to really make sure my heart’s in the right place. It’s easy to see support as just part of the process, but I’m learning that it’s so much more than just that. It’s about obedience, provision & trust. Looking to God to provide, fully trusting Him in all things, that He’ll provide for my needs, & being obedient in whatever He calls me to.
John 15:16: You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in My name the Father will give you.
If you feel led to come alongside me financially, you can take part in the Adopt a Box fundraiser. For those who don’t know how this works; you simply pick a “box” (or sticky note in this case) to “adopt” & then whatever amount is on the sticky note is how much you donate. You can choose 1 or more boxes to add up to a certain amount, message me which ones you’ve chosen & then donate that amount through my blog page at kirstenmorath.theworldrace.org. I very well may do other fundraising things as I go, but for now I’m starting with this & will update the progress as I go. I’ve already taken off the ones that have been “adopted” & have included a breakdown of what the money goes towards along with the route I will be taking (which is the Global South route).
Thank you for your time, prayers & support!
