Month 7 of 11

Been to 5 countries and currently in our 6th country (Turkey)
It’s crazy that I’m already halfway through this year’s journey! This year so far has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced, full of many ups and downs! As I sit here trying to figure out what to write, I stopped to look back at pictures & am reminded of all the amazing things the Lord has done. It’s easy to focus in on  what’s right in front of you rather than seeing the bigger picture sometimes. I've personally dealt with a lot of moments where I’ve allowed the enemy to come in and steal my joy. I’ve let some of the smallest of things get to me which then not only effects me but also those around me. Below I will share of some of those challenges and highlights I’ve experienced so far. 

Challenges:
•adjusting to constant change

•not being able to run to things/people you’re used to/comfortable with when things get tough, learning to better lean into the Lord 

•putting aside your preferences sometimes 

•being misunderstood 

•feeling alone at times

•the enemy speaking lies & listening to them

•sometimes being tired and/or hungry and being in a bad mood

•being overwhelmed at times 

Highlights:  
•having godly friends who come around, love and support you in hard times 

•experiencing so many new things 

•experiencing so much growth in a short amount of time

•meeting and making connections all around the world

•knowing that the Lord will use this year for things in the future/has a bigger plan than I can even begin to imagine  

•making memories that’ll last a lifetime/amazing adventures with friends 

(I had more wrote, but then it all deleted. So I’m just posting what was saved and then maybe I can come back and add more later.)
